Savegre Trek

The first day, you will walk from San Gerardo to the highest peak of Cerro de la Muerte, at the start of the hike you will go through primary cloud forest (specially oak trees) and paramo forest. This trek has nice views; if the weather is not cloudy you can observe both the Pacific and the Atlantic oceans; and some important elevations such as: Turrialba volcano, Irazú volcano and Cerro Chirripó. On the way you might enjoy birds of the region early in the morning, including the mighty Quetzal.(B,L,D)

Beautiful hike along the Savegre River, one of the cleanest rivers of America. On this walk you can enjoy a variety of plants, insects, frogs, mushrooms, birds and many more species all this as we walk from the top to the bottom of Los Santos Forest Reserve. You´ll leave San Gerardo de Dota by trails to the village of Providencia where you´ll be delighted and spend the night at La Piedra camp.(B,L,S,D)

Today we continue along forest trails until we reach La Chaqueta, a camp in the middle of the mountain where you’ll have an unforgettable experience.(B,L,S,D)

The next day we arrive at Piedras Blancas or San Isidro de Dota, places of natural beauty and diversity where we’ll spend the night, later we can enjoy a night walk to observe frogsand much more.(B,L,S,D)

The sixth and final day we will go to El Brujo for a White Water Rafting tour.(B,L)
